Meet the Chef
Chef Carissa is originally from Michigan, where she attended culinary school at the Great Lakes Culinary Institute. She has always had a passion for bringing family and friends around the table to enjoy delicious meals. A significant portion of her favorite memories were around the dinner table and in the kitchen. She has gained a range of experience working for different types of restaurants, particularly enjoying the friendly personal atmosphere of mom-and-pop shops. A few years back, she found a new passion for cooking vegan and vegetarian dishes. While she doesn't eliminate meat and animal products from her cooking, she strives to use plants and vegetables in new and delicious ways and make them the star of each dish.
